Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to support our attorneys and paralegals. This internship is designed to provide high-level exposure to the daily operations of a fast-paced law firm. You will gain practical experience in legal research, drafting, and case management while working on active client matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive research on case law, statutes and regulations.
- Drafting: Assist in preparing initial drafts of legal documents, including motions, briefs, memoranda and client correspondence.
- Case Support: Organize and index discovery documents, trial exhibits, and case files.
- Observations: Attend and take notes during client meetings, depositions and court hearings (where permitted).
- Administrative Support: Help with filing court documents (e-filing) and maintaining the firm’s digital database.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Law School or a high-performing Pre-Law undergraduate program.
- Excellent written and analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail.
- Strong ability to summarize complex legal information into concise memos.
- High level of discretion and a firm understanding of attorney-client privilege/confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
